Is There Harm In Taking Methadone For Chronic Pain And Straterra Add At Same Time (Top voted first)

I have been on methadone for chronic pain after back fusion in 2007. Been taking aderall for add for two years, also. Dr. called me at home last wk to come into office for med change.Told me that there are new findings out and no one should take these two at any time any more. Has started me on stratterra now along with Methadone. I don't like it. Has anybody heard about this finding?

No, I didn't find any really dangerous interactions listed, but its possible that your doctor received a notice about something that isn't in the databases, yet.

Why don't you like the Strattera? What type of problems are you having with it?

Strattera doesn't work. Period. It's' also not a Controlled Substance. Address works for ADD, ADHD, narcolepsy, etc. It's about 75% dextroamphetamine and 25% dl-amphetamine. States are making it hard and harder for non-specialty trained docs to write for amphetamines and heavy duty opiates. I'm a shrink with a PhD in Pharmacology and I can describe all the Adderall I need to, although it's a garbage combination, its the only game in town and it gets the job done. My neighbors grandson was taking Stratterra to no avid. His Mom and Grandma asked me to treat him. I did and I don't charge friends. He doing feel get or ADD/ADHD, specially in focusing to task for reading. I prescribed Dextrostat (equivalent to Dexedro\ine) 10mg upon arising and 5mg after school. He climbed down son, but I felt he needed a fly psych work-up and admitted him to a fancy such hospital. Yeah they found a lot of what I was afraid/suspected they'd find and he said four months. That's why happens when parents let an FP diagnose a potentially serious psych or miner problem.
