There will be, but not for several years, due to proprietary drug laws that grant the exclusive name brand patent for a certain period of time.
If it is too expensive for you, you could ask your doctor about prescribing a cheaper alternative.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and easy bruising.
