Is Pliva 434 Narcotic

I take Trazodone, its not a narcotic but its like a Seroquel and it knocks you out. When i wake up in middle of the night to go to the restroom i have to lean my head on the wall very strong just like Seroquels. So its like a narcotic but beware don't take it every day cause it will have you sleepy if you miss a day of taking it.

From what I could gather, Pliva 434 does indeed contain the active ingredient Trazodone (100 mg).

For verification, this pill is manufactured by Teva and carries a National Drug Code of 50111-0434.

Trazodone belongs to a class of drugs called phenylpiperazine and is not categorized as a narcotic medication.

However I do find it interesting that it's an antidepressant with multiple use-cases such as insomnia.

It should also be noted that "unusual tiredness or weakness" is listed as a common side effect of Trazodone on NIH.gov. I wonder if they decided to list tiredness as a treatment option simply because this side effect is so prevalent? LOL.

What matters though is that it works for all intended purposes and I hope patients continue to find the relief they seek as a result of taking it.
