Is Oxycontin Stronger Than Oxycodone

I was just given 20mg Oxycodone ER instead of Oxycontin 20mg ER & am wondering if I'm to expect same relief & duration?

Both contain Oxycodone as the active ingredient, so they are equivalent.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
