Wow some ppl are just looking for answers for some one else or for them selfs so they dornt hurt them selfs bc the doctor or pain clinic doesnt answer there question clearly. Maybe u should support ppl with the hand they been given and maybe just maybe u should try not being so narrow minded put yourself in there shoes and stop judging ppl on an info sites like this one bc this is a site that ppl come to for answers. If u want to judge ppl stop a blog that no one will read. If u want to act like someones mom do it somewhere that ppl dont look for real life answers
Amen! First of all, you gotta love the people that throw around their strong, close-minded opinions in ONE SENTENCE!! I mean, of course we've all posted opinion-oriented posts, but I've never done so without adding in the reasons why I feel so strongly about whatever it is we're talking about.
I mean, perhaps you'd like to state why you think that 50% of the people who go to this website for honest advice and/or other people's experiences, are merely nothing but drug seekers? Kind of harsh and rude, don't you think? And apparently for no reason because, well, you don't state as much.
And for the other half that come here to learn, and need education...DUH! Isn't that why they are coming here and asking questions? To LEARN?!
I find it funny that your username is 'livesinpain'. This is just an assumption on my part, but I would imagine that you have (or have had) your own issues with learning how to deal with chronic pain, how to manage it and still attempt to live something that somewhat resembles in normal life? And as someone who deals with chronic pain, no doubt you have experienced the myriad of problems that we fellow chronic pain sufferers have either faced in the past or maybe are in the middle of facing them.
Your experiences can make a difference in someone's life: have you ever thought about that? Two years ago I seriously considered the worse thing I could have imagined to "once and for all fix the problem." But thanks to God and listening to people who had faced similar issues in the past, I chose to live. I chose to fight. And in a manner of speaking, I 'won' that battle.
Conversely, your negativity and name-calling might be the last thing that someone needs to read before they finally snap and say, "yep, I'm outta here, adios cruel world." I'm not trying to be overdramatic about this, but learning how to live and cope with chronic pain is hard enough the way it is, without people in our own ranks judging one another, seemingly for no reason.
Thank you for your honesty, I'm not very good at commas and periods so please forgive my run on sentences. I can't tell you what you posted means to me but I do know that I've woke up many a morning and put a .45 in my mouth with a hollow point bullet in the chamber ready to pull the trigger but as I sat on the edge of my bed with the gun in my mouth I would always look at a picture of my son that just so happened to be sitting on my dresser I guess you could say if I really wanted to escape the pain and the addiction I could have moved the picture and not look at it and just go ahead and escape but I didn't and I'm glad I didn't. I did get help and I was clean for 3 years 8 months and 6 days until I got in a horrible accident where I almost lost my foot and of course the Dr put me right back on the pain pills that was 1 year 7 months ago and only recently have I been abusing again I can see the road in going down I can see the brick wall that I'm running towards at 100mph and I can't stop it's so so hard and I don't know why I'm replying to your comment but I am and if I have bothered you in any kind of way I'm sorry but I guess I'm just reaching out to someone who has been there again thank you and sorry if I've bothered you.
Hi Roy!
Before I respond more fully, are you addressing my response or thanking me for my message? If so, you have made all the difference in my life!! But if you aren't addressing me, then I didn't want to take all the credit!! :)
Either way, send me another message through this forum website and let me know if you are addressing me and I will respond back with a more detailed response. Hang in there we'll get through this together. Don't give up.
SEEKING ... Imma just leave that there for your extra smart ass lol lol
It's so sad that we can't even ask a professional about the medications that our love one's or ourselves are taking.
