Is It Ok To Mention That You Are Taking Methodone A Aa Meeting

my friend said we should not mention at a aa meeting that he is on methodone, do aa people not approve or is he making up stuff?

Hi Maniac! From my own personal experience, he's right! I have been judged and spoke about behing my back from being on methadone and suboxone. A lot of the people there at AA just want 2 hear about alcohol. That's it! Not all AA groups r like that, but, a lot r.

P.S. I chose AA because there is more longevity with people staying clean than in NA. (Tried NA) people in NA told me that I wasn't clean because I was on methadone then suboxone. That's bull sh$$! Then after awhile in AA, I'm being judged because I don't drink alcohol. U can't win, sometimes.
