Is Gabapentin 100 Mg Used To Relieve Itching Due Kidney Disease

I have had a kidney problem for the past year. My creatine level is going up from 1.2 to 2.4. Despite whatever medicine I use, the level is not coming down. Also, I am experiencing itching all over my body, especially on my legs. Someone suggested me to go for 100 mg gabapentn. After only one capsule the Itching has gone away but I feel very exhausted and tired. Please suggest me some medicine to lower my creatine level and to reduce the itching.

Gabapentin makes lots of people itch head to toe! I was so crazy with itching I could not bear it. Gabapentin is making you itch. (I am not a doctor, just a patient). As soon as you stop the itching will go away.

Well it actually takes a period of time similar to your taking it, but it will lessen right away from my own experience. For example, my last time took about 7 days for the itching to stop. If you took it for years, it might take weeks to stop the itching. I tried to take it twice but both times I itched like crazy, especially at night. There are several threads here on medschat about Gabapentin and itching, especially at night and especially hands and fingers. Some people get the itching all over...Google it. Take care of yourself. That's all I know about the Gabapentin.

Your answer is interesting. I was taking gabapentin 100mg 3xdaily and I stopped taking them and I got this horrible itch all over my head and body. I'm going to start taking the gabapentin again and see if the itching stops.
