Is Doxycycline Good For A Dental Abceses

I have a dental abcess and would like to know if Doxycycline 100mg would help with this, I have no money to afford a doctor or dentist at the moment.

It may help, if you have enough to take the correct amount for the proper duration of time to eradicate the infection. However, it will not correct the underlying problem that has caused the abscess, so you will still need to see a dentist as soon as possible and it would be best to consult one, before taking it.

I've dealt with similar problems, due to finances and not being insured in the past, so I'd suggest checking to see if they are any dental clinics or schools in your area, most have sliding fee scales, or will even treat you for free to help a dental student get the training they need.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
