Is Cymbalta A Narcotic ???

are extreme headaches from the neck and back of the head a withdrawl symptom? Doctor said that Cymbalta is a narcotic !!! was put on x strength Tylenol ,Motrin and gravol every four hours !!Went cold turkey due to the side effects being so bad and now suffering the withdrawl effects

I have taken cymbalta since 2005.. Switched to other meds for several years and came back to it in 2014. Thing seemd on for a while until I told my doctor I thought I might need something else.. She upped my dose to 120mg and recommended I tKe 1 in morning and 1 at night.. My brain zaps start around 3pm

No, Cymbalta is not a narcotic.

It contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which the FDA classifies as an SNRI antidepressant.

However, if you've been taking it for awhile, then some minor withdrawal effects are normal, if you stop it cold turkey, because your body has gotten used to having this substance added regularly. These effects may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, depression and foggy headedness.
