Is Ciprofloxacin Used To Treat Sinus Infection

My daughter has puss pockets on both sides of her throat, cane ciprofla in to treat this.

This is an antibiotic that can be used to treat various types of bacterial infections, so she should take it, if it's been prescribed for her by her doctor.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

For one thing, puss pockets do not necessarily even need to be treated with antibiotics. Secondly, has she been given this antibiotic by her doctor? If not, do not even CONSIDER giving her a medication that is lying around the house? That is irresponsible.

And as far as Cipro is concerned, if your daughter is young, Cipro is contraindicated in children who have not had their growth plates set as it can lead to the destruction of the collagen in the joints and cause her to have stunted growth.

This is not even to mention that Cipro and other Fluoroquinolone drugs can lead to lifelong disability, even from one dose! Never ever give yourself or a child some medication that is lying around the house. Imagine disabling your child for life because you handed her some medication that you asked some random people online about!
