But what dosage was your soma compared to baclofen mg? I’ve been on carisoprodol 350mg 1 per day with spasms calmed enough to function with very little drowsiness if any. I’ve also been on low dose oxycodone 10mg, together for years. I had tried almost all other muscle relaxers on the market, but had side effects causing more harm than good. Now, I was switched to baclofen 10mg because this new clinic doesn’t like soma. I’ve just started today and feeling a bit queasy after eating.

Thank you for addressing attitude. We’re seeking non biased and neutral advice, not personal judgements.

For me, I just took 5mg baclofen a couple of hours ago. I’m nauseous and suffering severe pain in my upper left quadrant back, going up through my neck. I never experienced this with carisoprodol, which actually helped ease the pain. New Doctor changed me to baclofen because they fear side effects, etc. I have HICP and will need to take pain meds/muscle relaxers for life. So, why do they worry about no existing addiction and change what my former doctor and I finally found what worked?

I just took my first baclofen an hour ago- I am hoping it will work. I have been told I need 2 new shoulders - both bone on bone. My hips are really starting to aggravate me as well. The knees are pretty bad too- when I was younger - my knee would pop out of the socket if I just turned it a certain way or hit it on something just right. I am a 65Female.... getting old sucks I must say. I used to take Soma 2X per day- never abused it- my Dr in another state would prescribe it to me and it always worked well for me. I moved to a different state and no doctor will prescribe it to me. I joke with them and tell them this is what drives people out to the streets to get Fentanyl I guess. So, I suppose they think I am an addict- but at my age who cares- I am not an addict- I just want some relief and Soma was the only thing that ever worked for me. I have taken Flexeril (felt like my hair was on fire), Methocarbamol, Tizanidine and a few others- none of them work. They now put me on Baclofen and Gabapentin and we will see if this will help as I do not have anyone to take care of me to allow me to get surgery- so, it is just nightmarish pain and incapacity all day long.
