The FDA lists this as an antibiotic, so it will only help with bacterial infections. Common side effects are listed as possibly including, nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
That said, such sores are usually not due to an infection, but rather to something that's irritated the mouth, or they may be canker sores, so an antibiotic won't help with them.
Have you consulted your doctor? You need to have this checked out to discover the cause and a proper solution.
