Is 50mg metoprolol succ er equal to 50mg of atenolol?

Dr is switching me from 100 mg atenolol daily to 100 mg metoprolol. I’m nervous as to what side effects I might have. Any clue?

Actually, no since they are the same dosage, they are not equivalent.

For each 50mgs of Atenolol, you'd need 100mgs of the Metoprolol.

Did your doctor make this dosage change, or are you trying to figure it out on your own?
