Is 2 Year Old Doxycycline Ok To Take

I have doxycycline for acne in capsules that's about 2 years old , is it ok to take

It would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new prescription, if you need an antibiotic. Medications tend to degrade over time and lose efficacy, which means it may not work as well as it did, when it was new and that creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Doxycycline as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
