Infected Tattoo

Hi,
I recently had a tattoo done and as I was walking it scratched against a wooden chair, immediately after that it started burning so I washed it and noticed there was a yellowish-green pus , since this isn't my first tattoo I started panicking because I've never experienced this before?
I phoned my tattoo artist and he recommended that I wash the tattoo with luke warm water with salt in it & then apply Beclate on it? I've been doing this since Saturday and now I can see symptoms of an infection?
So my question is does BECLATE help or am I going to have to get something else

You may need an oral, systemic antibiotic. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
