Yes it does help gain weight. I took it for about 3 weeks 3 times a day and gained 35 lbs all in the right places. I was drowsy and aggravated though

No, that is not a normal side effect of Cyproheptadine.

Normal side effects can include: drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth and restlessness.
