Im In Southern Il N Need Some One Who Will Prescribe Pain Meds I Been To All The Managements N Its Alk

I was injured some years back at work. Lost my job n now I'm living off very little disability n raising my grandson for 6 years now. I have been to 3 or 4 pain clinics who only want to inject u n leave u in pain. The only way to get ur meds is play their game. I did that for years. The last Dr said I didn't come in for a pill count. After 5 years that's the most bocuss thing I ever heard. I never got a call to come in. So he stopped prescribing n now I'm without. Please Help. This is in Southern Illinois.

Macy, you will need a copy of your medical records that prove that you have a medical condition that may cause pain severe enough to be prescribed opiates. If you don't have a diagnosis, diagnostic results, etc that prove what you say, you aren't going to be able to find a dr that will prescribe pain meds. You may have to see a dr twice before they will prescribe you an opiate. You will also have to sign a pain contract. Part of that is agreeing to random drug panels. Some drs do pill counts, but not all of them do.
