If My 11 Year Old Daughter Is Supposed To Take Augmentin Twice A Day Can She After School And The Other Before Bed

My 11 year old daughter was prescribed chewable Augmentin twice a day for strep throat.
Since it upsets her stomach, I can't give her one before school.
Can I give her 1 at 3 pm and the other before bed at 9 pm?

No, that wouldn't a good idea.

Since it's an antibiotic, the intent is to keep it regularly spaced out, to keep the levels up in her body long enough for the bacteria to be eradicated. Thus, you'd be leaving too long of a gap, between the 9pm one and the 3pm one going round the clock.

As to the nausea, has she tried taking it with food?

Other side effects may include non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

a doctor prescribed Augmentin 625mg for my 10year old boy who had a congested chest and throat infection.He is 39kg.He has a history of asthma though he seems to be outgrowing it.Isnt that dose high for his age?He was also given montelukast,what are its benefits?
