If Allergic To Clindamycin Can I Take Biaxin

I'm allergic to Clindamycin (severe cellulitis of lower extremities). So, I'd like to know if I can take Biaxin for Folliculitis?

It is a different, but related medication. Has your doctor instructed you to take it?

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
