Ic Penicillin Vk Tab 500mg

I've been taking ic penicillian as perscribed for about a week now. And I've started getting a rash on the palms of my hands and legs. should i stop taking the penicillian immediately or finish the course.

HI, Brit! Sorry about the rash.

From your description, it's difficult to know what type of rash it is and why it has happened.

There are two different types that you can experience from antibiotics. The first would be a non-allergic skin rash, this one usually just looks like small speckled spots similar to measles and it doesn't itch or swell. It's just kind of there, almost like you got a new set of freckles.

The second is an allergic rash, which would include hives, they are raised, swollen bumps that itch and seem to spread. They may cycle and itch at different times during the day and on different spots on your body, at one point it may be your right hand, then your left leg and so on.

The best thing to do would be to consult your doctor to be sure what type of rash it is, because if it's the allergic one that may be the start of a more serious reaction starting that could be very dangerous.
