I was prescribed omeprazole 40 mg for a bad sinus infection. Does this seem right?

Yes, the FDA does list elevated liver enzymes as being a possible side effect, but it is very rare, usually occurring in less than 1% of the people that take it.

How high were your enzyme levels? Depending on how high they were, it may not be due to the Omeprazole. Is that the only medication you are currently taking? Has your doctor done any other testing?
