I'm guessing that the "Amox" is for Amoxicillin - with that in mind, the other parts of your description could indicate the compound Clavulanic Acid. A brand name of this combination is Augmentin.

Can you provide any specific markings, color, and shape of the pills? This would allow me to give you the exact drug name.
