switch to subutex, it works great for pain and if you need something more you can take tramadol with it and it actually helps. Tramadol never helped me in the past but with subutex, it works great.
if I took 8mg of suboxone at 3pm and have a subutex now at 10pm, and I insufflate it, will the suboxone block the subutex?
The buprenorphine itself will block any effects and cause withdrawal from opiates. Not the naloxone, it's a big misconception. Naloxone is just put there by the drug company so more drs. will prescribe it instead of subutex and they will in turn make more money off of suffering people.
I have been on suboxone tablets for 4years ive had the same Dr.all this time it made such a difference in my and my husband and my two young childrens lives it took every last dallar my family had just to keep from being sick and i was always on the verge of withdrawl.I was put on strips for a few months it was a nightmare i kept going but was forced to go back to streets for complete satisfaction i have chronic back pain and disc herniation.so my dr put me back on the tablets thank you god but now theyre taking them off market...WHAT AM I GOING TO DO YOUR DESTROYING PEOPLES LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would like input on how buprinorphine has helped
Taken under your tongue, the blocker has a really short half. Its actually the buprenorphine that over powers your receptors to beat out the opiate (very common misconception). So either way, you're in the same boat. My suggestion would be to taper down to about a 1/2 (of an 8mg) a day if possible so your levels are low enough for powerful opiates to still dull the pain if needed but high enough so you don't suffer from withdrawal.
Read the book Diary of a Legal Drug Dealer before you go on. Just tell yer doctor what you want.. yer paying him afterall!
IF UNDER MY TOUNGUE SEEM DEAD IS THIER SOMETHING ELSE MORE SUFFICENTLY TO USE OTHER THAN SUXBOXONE.
ineed to find a subutex dr for cronic pain i hav a bad back bulging disk /spinalstynoses/nerve root damage
There is not enough in this to interfere with large doses or narcotics or anesthetics.
Suboxone has Buprenorphine & Naloxone in it. The Naloxone will partially or completely reverse any narcotic effects. Subutex only has Buprenorphine. I have chronic pain & have been on Subutex for years (34 mg per day) & have had a couple of operations in this time. I believe you would be much better off on Subutex. It would be worth talking to your Doctor about your concerns. Goodluck!
