I Took 10 5 500 Hydrocodone

I have a pretty big tolerance and took thought that I needed to take around 10 to feel anything I then looked it up and am not sure if I should get help

Hello, Dave! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects?

Believe it or not, the biggest concern from taking that many is due to the Acetaminophen, not the narcotic Hydrocodone. Exceeding 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen in a day may cause liver damage, liver failure and risks fatal toxicity.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Medications shouldn't be taken just in the hopes of feeling something. If that's why you take something, then you may have a problem that needs medical help. Other than pain relief and sedative like effects from some, the feelings people get from them are just side effects that always wear off after awhile, once their body gets used to a medication.

Additionally, if you're afraid that your life, or the life of someone else may be in danger, you should always call poison control, or go to your nearest emergency services.
