I Take Both Hydrocodone 7 5 325 For Pain And Celebrex 200 Inflamation Is There Any Problem With This

I take hydrocodone 7.5 325 for pain from degenerated disks in spine and I take celebrex 200 for arthritis pain and inflamation, is there any problem with this? One medication alone does not take care of my problem.

It is common for drs to prescribe an opiate and something for inflammation.

Most research I'm finding doesn't indicate that there are any interactions between Hydrocodone and Celebrex. However, one report I came across does imply that using the two together may increase the plasma concentration and effects of Hydrocodone; and that your doctor should monitor your blood levels in case a dosage adjustment is deemed necessary.

Having said that, my intuition tells me that it's not a "serious" drug interaction. Though it seems like it would still be wise to discuss this with your doctor if you have any concerns about the timing of your dosage and whether that plays a significant role as well.

Due to a bad car accident 30 years ago I now have 3 collapsed vertebrates with no disc hardly between them, C-3 C-4 C-5, and they are pressing on my nerves and I am in dire pain. They have prescribed Celebrex 200 mg and I had a cervical epidural a week ago. The only medicine I have ever taken is 800 mg of Ibuprofen ...Can I take a Lortab 7.5 with the Celebrex? I have never taken Celebrex before and I'm nervous about the side effects. I am also a long time debilitating migraine sufferer and I am concerned that I will need to take Imitrex during this time I am on those medicines. Is that safe?
