i have been dealing with cronic pain for over 15 years and have been on heavy pain medicines the best results that i every received was when i was given methadone pills unfortunalty the dr is no longer in business. i am having problems finding a dr who will prescribe them i have been give 150 mcg of fentynal, also oxycoton with oxycodone for break through pain. none of these work as well as methadone pillls. can any suggest a dr that can help.

Well, if you're calling around to various doctors asking if they'll prescribe it, you're going to be told no from the get go. Doctors are going to see that as being drug seeking behavior. You need to set up an appointment first and then let your medical records speak for themselves, but even then you'll likely face reluctance from most, because Methadone is very habit forming.

Additionally, due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, no general practitioner is going to be able to prescribed it for you. You'll need to see a pain management specialist.
Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would be the easiest way to get the help you need.
