I Need To Find A Doctor That Will Precribe Methadone For Cronic Back Pain And From Chemotherapy West Virginia

1 have had cronic back pain for 15 yrs now, i have had 2 types of cancer, cervical, which let to hystorectomy, and fro the last year i have been fighting with stage 3 colon cancer and two back sugerys, i have been on painn meds form hydocodome to roxy 5 mg roxy15 mg and roxy 30 mg, i tryied a 10mg methadone tablet and it worked wonders i felt like my self again i had hardley no back pain and no nerve pain from the chemo, please try to help me find a dr in west virgina around the charelston area thanks

With your medical background, it shouldn't be hard at all for you to find a doctor that'll prescribe methadone. Even the doctor you are seeing now should be able to prescribe it for you. Once a doctor sees what you are going through, they are usually pretty sympathetic and have no ethical problem of writing scrips.

And yes, as Bebop Girl said, any doctor can prescribe it for pain. It is only restricted when it's being prescribed for addiction treatment.

If you are suffering from intractable pain due to cancer and its treatments, then there are also no restrictions on your doctor writing it for you.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Looking for a dr to prescribe me adderall in the Weirton West Virginia area. Was diagnosed with adhd when I was about 9 years old, was prescribed Ritalin for 2 years then moved and never went to another dr for anymore medications. I am 26 now and I feel the worst of my adhd is now. I work construction and sometimes when I can't multitask I might either cause myself to get hurt or someone else by not paying attention. I love my job but it just seems like i have no motivation to do anything some days. my boss had to remind me many of times what i have to do for the day. I've been in construction 8 years and still to this day have trouble. Just think this adhd thing is starting to effect my life. I have tried Ritalin off of a friend before me it gave me nothing but head aches. And I have tried adderall and have seen amazing results. Very happy and feeling accomplished for the day. More social with people instead of not speaking to people I have always been a really quiet person. But I've heard a lot of doctors won't prescribe it. Is this true?

If you've got all these ailments..and I'm not saying you dont, want your Dr. write you prescriptions for pain??? You got cancer for God's sake!!!

There may be "no restrictions" but doctors are still very hesitant to write for and pain pill. My husband had stage 4 Colorectal cancer mastitis to his liver and the 1st RX his doctor gave him was percocet 20 pills(contains acetaminophen, not good for the liver) 3 months later asked for another RX without the acetaminophen was told this is the"last" pain med he will be written and was told he has to go to a pain clinic for more. He never took the percocet because of the potential further damage to his liver except 2 of them. Even if he had ....were they worried he would get addicted to them?, of course not, they were worried that they would be audited if they write too many pain pill scripts and who knows what else they might be doing wrong or excessively writing Rx for. Either as a profit making scheme, because they themselves are addicted or writing Rx to try to cover their ability to properly care for patients(cover the symptoms)
