I Need A Pain Management Doctor In The Dayton/cincinnat Ohio Area Who Will Prescribe Norco Or Some Type Of Med Like That.

I have had 4 series of 3 injections in my back which did NOT help at all as well as surgery (two hemi discectomies in my lower back) which helped my sciatica but now it's coming back and my surgeon says he can't do any more surgery. I've had a trial of a spinal cord stimulator which didn't help at all and I have a tens unit. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, lower back pain and worsening sciatica. I've been taking Norco 10/325 and Neurontin which helps the most, but my family doctor wants me to find a pain management doctor to prescribe these meds now. I am 53. Does anyone know of a good physician who is not afraid to prescribe these medications in this area. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, Beth! How are you?

Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, your doctor no longer has a choice in the matter. PCPs are no longer allowed to manage chronic pain with such medications. You'll have to see a pain management specialist.

Did your doctor give you a referral to one?

Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?

help finding a pain medicine Docter in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana??? Need someone who is able to to treat with opiates to patients who are on Medicare- and cannot afford to continue going to CA for intractable pain- 24/7. I hate taking meds but cannot have any quality of life without them. I am living proof after 8 years of high dose meds- I can drive, think clearly, and no longer fear my constant pain.It seems CA is the only state with laws that protect the patient from being degraded and humilated. Docters understand and help REAL patients.

I need a doc in the Cinci Dayton of Ohio area that can prescribe oxycodone. My Dr is retiring and can't see me anymore. I amalso hoping they take my insurance which is United Health Care Community Plan. I have called several on my insurance but they either aren't taking new patients or say they don't take my insurance.

Not sure about those but we get oxymorphone 30mg er which fixes any and everything
