Hi, I'm 67 and have been taking 100 MG of Atenolol a day since I was 28. I take it to balance my heart rate rather than blood pressure without it my heart rate went very high, have not had a real problem since then. I have no noticeable problems to my knowledge. I have had several doctors tell me my Dose was very high but almost 40 years with no spells I'll keep taking it.
