I've been taking 15mg of MS twice a day for at least 10 years. It never made me drowsy or any side effect at all. It has been a godsend as I now can do anything I want without pain. I have osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. Dance taking MS I have no pain whatsoever. Don"t be afraid to try it. Takes a couple days to get into your system.
Re: George (# 6)
That is a lie, I stopped cold Turkey after taking 200mg each day for a few weeks and felt depressed, emotional, and I couldn't eat anything for 3 days. Finally the withdrawals have stopped after about a week. There ARE withdrawals, and I hope everyone understands that.
There are np withdrawals whatsoever. If any withdrawals are experienced it is due to lack of sleep, the state of your mind and physical health. Nothing serious at all, but then again, that depends on your thoughts. I stopped from taking 1000mg+armodafinil/day to zero with no symptoms. The reason I stopped was to get off for a few weeks to reduce tolerance and damage to my wallet :)
You're very welcome, Candy! I hope all goes well for you! :-)
Hi Verwon and anyone else that was interested in this Thread:
I am down to one pill a day and will be done on this coming Monday. One or two days was difficult, but It was easier than I ever thought!
Verwon, thanks so much for the advice and for your genuine caring about everyone on this Forum!

You're very welcome and happy new year to you!
Sorry, I've not gotten back to you sooner, my fiancé and I just moved to a new house and it took awhile to get our internet on.
How are you feeling with your taper?
Hello Vernon,
I'm dealing with a positive attitude and that's the best I can do now. HOW ARE YOU?
I am doing what you suggested--slowly tapering off of them. My Doctor said just stop them and try the new prescription. New Year's Resolution: Find a new Doctor!
Thank you for your help!
Happy New Year!
Hello, Candy! How are you?
A very slow taper would be best, if you've been taking such a high dosage for a long period of time.
According to the FDA, abruptly stopping a stimulant, such as this, could result in some withdrawal effects, such as nausea, dizziness, chills, fever, drowsiness and diarrhea.
Withdrawals can, sometimes, be dangerous. So it is best to be careful and get professional medical help.
Is your doctor aware that you are stopping them?
