This is Droxia R or hydroxyurea. It is used to treat the pain of sickle cell anemia...a fatal disease. It is not a narcotic pain medication like you might think. It only works for pain for this specific disease. Do not ingest it unless you have sickle cell!

Teva Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 500mgs of Hydroxyurea, it is most commonly used to treat some forms of cancer, such as chronic myeloid leukemia, and certain types of skin cancer.

The FDA lists typical side effects nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, itchiness of the skin, weight loss, and constipation.
