Which one are you taking?
I'm assuming you mean an oral contraceptive.
They may cause some nausea, as a side effect and no, if you are taking the active tablets, then you most likely won't get your period that week. You'll usually get it the fourth week of the pill pack, when you take the inactive tablets.
