Hypothyroid Medication

Hello,

I am 30 years female. I was diagnosed for hypothyroid in june 2015 with level 10 as per my report..I was put by doctor on Eltroxin 50mcg. Again I tested in August the report was normal as the level of TSh was 4. I continued the tablets. Now in Dec 2015 my TSh level has reached 15 and my doctor has asked me to start using Thyrox 75mcg. My T3 and T4 are normal >please suggest if this is the correct medication I am taking.

You should follow your doctor's dosing instructions.

The NIH lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, mood swings, and hair loss.

Are you on any other medications? Have you started the new dosage, yet?
