Have you tried checking online to see if you can order them? I've found them in stock at several online retailers, including Amazon.
I am having a problem finding a listing of the exact ingredients, but if online ordering isn't an option for you, you might want to try asking a pharmacist for an equivalent alternative.

I m in the same situation now taht it's impossible to get this product my life has been hell, I dont seek help with my eye dr (I done that t several times before) but is no help for me, in the first place the test they do are really hard for me to handle and after that the only alternative is restasis wich is too expensive and uncomfortable to me to handle the vials , I have RA and my fingers are very handicapped, so I rather turned in to hypo tears and been using them for several "decades", I m on my late 60's. I wish same product(hypo tears) will come back in the mkt or another solution with same ingredients in those miracle "HT" bottles
I agree with you. I used Hypotears for many years. I have tried 8 other eye drops, none of which is even close to the comfort for my eyes and gas permeable lenses. If anyone know of a generic or substitute, that would be great! Thanks.
Have you tried punctal plugs I think they are called where they close the two or all four of the tear ducts to retain the moisturein the eyes. I have the same problem without the Hypotears-they were the best! You might find them online but Amazon has a rediculous high price. Good luck
From what I can find, Systane (but *not* Systane Ultra) has the same active ingredients but in slightly more dilute form -- HypoTears was 1% each of Polyethylene Glycol 400 and Propylene Glycol, while these are the ingredients in Systane Lubricant Eye Drops:
Polyethylene Glycol 400 0.4% Lubricant
Propylene Glycol 0.3% Lubricant
Inactive Ingredients
Boric acid, calcium chloride, hydroxypropyl guar, magnesium chloride, polyquaternium-1 as a preservative, potassium chloride, purified water, sodium chloride, zinc chloride. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.
No Hypo tears was 1% Polyvinyl alcohol and 1% PEG-400 (Polethylene Glycol 400)
I too have sjogrens and relied on Hypo tears for relief. This morning as of 2 weeks with non stop pain I found a mixture of drops that works exactly like Hypo tears. the Equate at walmart plus blinktearsplus, preferredplus artificial tears (may be found at walmart as well) I am so happy I have returned to normal. This works for me & I hope I can help someone else. I can drive again pain free and with clear vision.
Amazon has a vendor selling it for $150.00 for 1oz. LUDICROUS!
Equate is working for me!!!!!!;-)

- Hello plummey!!! How do you apply them to the eyes? Do you mix them together or one after the other one? I'm very desperate to find a real help for my sjogrens condition too. I hope you read my message, thanks if you do!!!
Re: ojosekos (# 11)
One at a time. I also found Gen_teal works real well and available everywhere in vials, preservative free
Re: jo (# 7)
Walmart distributes "Artificial Tears" which has Polyvinyl Alcohol, And "Equate high performance support advanced lubricant eye drops" has Polyethylene glycol. These are the active ingredients in HypoTears. HypoTears was always the best to remove sand that was stuck in my eye. I miss it too.
Re: TommyO (# 13)
Do I need to use both..,one after the other?
Or just one or the other?
Thanks!
