Hyperthyroidism And Menstruation

My menstrual cycle is 4 months delayed and when I had a medical checkup in the school, the nurse said that i had hyperthyroidism. Does hyperthyroidism affect my menstruation? I have been stressed out about this for the past few weeks.

Yes, thyroid issues can cause problems with your menstrual cycle, as well as weight changes, mood swings and hair loss, according to the NIH.

Are you on any medications? Do you have any other diagnosed medical conditions?
