Hydroxyzine: K 11 Pill Vs E613 Pill

I know both are hydroxyzine but are they basically the same thing? I had a prescription for the k 11 but ran out and was prescribed the E613 version but want to know if they are the same?

Yes, according to the NIH database, they both contain 25mgs of Hydroxyzine, they are just manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. Whichever one your pharmacy carries may vary, depending on what company was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. It's how they help keep prices down for underinsured, or uninsured patients.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness, and sedation.
