Hydrocortisone Cream For Hemoroid

Can my pharmacist substitute hydrocortisone 2.5% cream for Proctosol-HC?
Prescription wrote for Proctosol-HC 2.5%, I received hydrocortisone 2.5% cream.

Yes, unless your doctor designates on the prescription that you must be given the name brand, the pharmacist actually has to substitute a generic in it's place, if one is available.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this cream as possibly including irritation, redness, burning and itching.
