Hydrocodone Vs Oxycodone

What is the difference between hydrocodone, and oxycodone? For example is five milligrams of each equal to each other? We had a debate at work talking with someone w/o just had surgery, and no one seemed to know.Thanks!

Oxycodone is actually a bit stronger than Hydrocodone, you'd only need 3.33mgs of it to be equal to each 5mgs of Hydrocodone.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
