Hydrocodone Homatropine Efficacy (Top voted first)

My bottle dates back two years old. Is it still OK to take? Wonder if it will harm me at this age? I'm sick with a cough and can't get out.

I’m waiting to know what the difference in strength is between a hydrocodone-homatropine 5-1.5mg pill and a 10/325mg hydrocodone-acetaminophen pill, and how many of the hydrocodone-homatropine 5-1.5mg pills would I need to take to equal one of my 10/325 hydrocodone-acetaminophen pills? Can I also take my tramadol 50mg pills with the hydrocodone-homatropine 5-1.5mg pills?

Mike, medications tend to lose efficacy once past their expiration date, so they may not work as well as they did, when they were new. Additionally, liquid medications can turn rancid, so they could actually make you ill. Thus, it would be best not to take it, but to contact your doctor for a safe treatment option.

Tess, these two medications are not really comparable, so you can't use one to equal the other. If you need something for pain relief, it would be best to see your doctor for a safe option.

The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.
