Hydrocodone Hair Results

I have been prescribed Norco 7.5-10 mg prn for 4 yrs. I sometimes take none for 2 weeks but then have a lot of pain and take about 4-6 per week as needed. I had to have a hair follicle test. It says cut off is 200 pg/mg and my quantitative result was 2309 pg/mg. What does that mean?

In regards to your hair follicle test results, I get the sense that the cut off level of 200 pg/mg is simply referring to the "lowest detectable amount" which can be picked up by the test. Since your results were 2309 pg/mg, this isn't necessarily saying that you had a LOT in your system, but it does imply that you had much more than the minimum amount that could be detected. Does this make sense?

I would also encourage you to contact the lab who performed the evaluation if you're still unsure about any other specific details pertaining to the test results.
