Zohydro ER went on the market this year. It is the first and only extended release hydrocodone on the market. It also does not contain tylenol or any other medication. Because it is new, it is very expensive. It also is a Schedule II. Which means it can't be called in, no refills and you must see your dr at least every 90 days. It does require Prior Authorization for Medicare to pay for it.
