My son is taking Hydorcodone elx for tonsilectomy and I'm wondering what some side effects may be. He is having trouble eating unless he takes the medicine but I've been giving it to him every 6 hours for 7 days and I'm afraid he'll become addicted.

APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever.

Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
