Hydrocodone-apap 7.5-500 Soln Orange Liquid

My child was prescribed hydrocodone-apap 7.5-500 soln in an orange liquid. Also on the main bottle with the label that says Cephalexin for Oral Suspension, USP (250 mg/5ml) 100 ml when mixed. And the pharmacy doctor put 2 of 3 in red marker on bottle. I'm confused. Is the orange liquid suppose to make it easier for him to swallow.

To be honest, I'm a little confused by your post.

You're talking about 2 different medications. The Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a narcotic pain reliever, though the Hydrocodone can also help treat couching and the Acetaminophen can help break a fever.

The Cephalexin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections.

The color really means nothing, but most medications of this type are given to children in liquid form, since it is easier to get them to take it, than it would be in pill form. The liquids are also usually flavored, to make them more pleasant for children.
