Hydrocodone Apap 5/500 Shelf-life

I have received these pills on 11/5/2014, and was wondering if the remaining pills are safe to take?

If they're in a pharmacy bottle, then the expiration date would be one year from when they were dispensed to you. So, if you received them from your pharmacy on 11/05/2014 then they are good until 11/04/2015. However, only your doctor can say if they are safe for you to take.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
