Hi jen,
Your not the first to say that the white ones haven't been working as well. There have actually been several complaints to Watson (Actavis) regarding the lack of potency in their "supposedly equivalent" white tablets.
They claim that the only difference lies in the removal of 'dye', however that doesn't necessarily explain why they don't work as well, since dye has no real impact on anything but its color.
The true answer to their ineffectiveness is still a mystery until the manufacturer opens up and spills the beans. In the meantime, it sounds like your best bet would be to talk with your Dr about switching over to another brand or medication that may work better overall.

On a side note, I haven't come across any specific details on what the "t" might stand for at the end of the drug name. It could potentially be a misprint, but you'd probably want to ask your pharmacist just to be on the safe side.
