Hydrocodone And Opana

I was given opana er 10 mg take one every 8-12 hours with hydrocodone 10/325 take one three times a day for breakthrough pain. Is it safe to mix these and how far apart should I take them? Dr said opana soon as I wake up n four hours later hydrocodone said can take together bc they release different but that sounds incorrect n not safe to me

Your doctor is correct, they are often taken together to help gain better control of pain. Of course, you can never know how they will affect you, until you actually try it and it is okay to space them a few hours apart, if you prefer.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
