Hydrocodone Acetaminophen Ibuprofen

I have a exposed tooth nerve. I was prescribed both medication. However he did not specify what im suppose to take only that im to take the ibuprofen 800 every 8 hours and the hydrocodone acetaminophen every 6 hours. I wld like to know what is best to do? Am i to take one in between the other??

Yes, if that's the way they were prescribed. Alternating is often done, in such cases, to help get better control of severe pain.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Ibuprofen is an NSAID and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.
