Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5/325 Tb & Paroxetine 20mg Together

I take paroxetine 20mg each morning. Had foot surgery 2 days ago and was prescribed hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 Tb. Is it ok to take these two medications together?

There is a chance that the Paroxetine may potentiate the Hydrocodone, which could make it too potent for some people, thus you should only take them together, if your doctor approves.

The FDA classified this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Paroxetine is an SSRI antidepressant and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain.
