Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 10 325 T Norco

Don't ever get that ActaVas brand Norco 10 325 white tabs they do not work I had half yellow half white last prescription big difference with the yellow ones no doubt I did my own experiment The yellow has a V on them I'm not sure what brand they are but they work much better then the Actavis

Hi- yeah I've been taking the generic ones ( Hydrocodone), and they seem to wear off within 3 hrs. I've been searching on Google for answers and was wondering if you or anyone else knows if they contain sulfites. I get allergic reactions to sulfites and I know these could have them in the inactive ingredients. Thx.

The yellow one's with a V 36 01 are made by Qualitest (formerly Vintage Pharmaceuticals). From what I've heard, these yellow ones are thought to be one of the better brands on the market- although they don't seem to be too common anymore. You're not alone though in how you feel about Actavis' version. I think there are at least several other discussion threads here ramping on Actavis for making inferior products. One suggestion to avoid this version would be to have your doctor specifically write out a particular manufacturer on the prescription. This way pharmacists wont just give you whatever it is they have on the shelf.

To the best of my knowledge, the hydrocodone/acetaminophen tablets do not contain any sulfites/sulfa. However you are right to be checking the list of inactive ingredients first since you can never know what they are willing to use as binders/fillers nowadays. And for that reason alone I would still encourage you to double check with your pharmacy before filling your prescription(s), just to be on the safe side! If you happen to have a specific pill imprint, I can also look up the inactive ingredients for you?

Thx Dash- it's a 10 mg pill, says Watson then 853 under it. I did call pharmacy few wks ago and asked them. The tech looked on the insert and she said it didn't say anything but I still didn't feel secure. I've been meaning to call Actavis. If you find out anything let me know, Thanks
