Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 10 325 Mg

I've been approximately 10 years on hydrocodone acetaminophen 10-500. It now has been changed to Hydrocodone-acetaminophen 10-325 without any consultation. What would be the reason for the change and will it attack the pain the same? Thank you. Todd

All prescription tylenol combinations medications had to reduce the amount of tylenol to no more than 325 mg in Jan 2014. The FDA has even taken action to withdraw the approval for prescription meds that have more than 325 mg tylenol. The decrease in tylenol may or may not make any difference to you. Some drs are telling their patients to add 1 regular strength tylenol to the prescription meds, if they need it. Just be sure to keep track of how much tylenol you take in a 24 hrs period and don't let it exceed 4,000 mg in a 24 hr period. You also need to tell your dr that you're having to take extra tylenol.

BL has provided you with great information, but an additional important note that needs to be added is that the new recommendation for Tylenol/Acetaminophen each day is to not exceed 3,000mgs. It has been found that even just hitting exactly on 4,000mgs has the potential to be fatally toxic, so it's best to stay away from hitting that amount.

Hi I've been taking about 10 to 15 10 mg/325 mg hydrocodone po ills about 4 to 5 times a month and just got really high on them. By the way I strongly urge everyone NOT TO TRY OR ABUSE ANY PRESCRIPTION DRUGS OR ILLEGAL DRUG THEY ARE DANGEROUS AND CAN LEAD TO DEATH. I have a high tolerance of opioid. THE ONLY THING THAT SEEMS TO BE HURTING IS MY POCKET. I DON'T EVEN GET WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS I SUPPOSE BECAUSE I FEEL NORMAL WHEN I DON'T HAVE ANY AND I'VE BEEN AT TIMES DAYS EVEN WEEKS BEFORE I GET ANY SO AM I SPECIAL LOL AND IM BEING SERIOUS DON'T REALLY FEEL ANY DIFFERENT. BY THE WAY BEEN DOING THIS FOR OVER A YEAR NOW.
